...pretty much sucks to me. It's supposed to be an open network, but people are now given the option of closing off their profiles and making them accessible only to people in their personal networks. How the frig do you meet anyone that way? But people are apparently choosing that option. And the search functionality has been scaled down as well. The new Friendster? It sure ain't better.

Tue, March 23, 2004 - 4:08 PMYou didn't read it right. Now, *everyone* will be able to see a mini-profile of everyone, and only people in your network who are you are connected to thru 1,2, or 3 degrees (you pick) can see your full profile.
Basically, 4 degrees equals "stranger"...so I didn't care about those people anyway. If I want to meet random strangers, I can do that on craigslist. -
